Tardive Dyskinesia Instructional VHS Video packet

Packet includes two instructional videos detailing Tardive Dyskinesia, how to screen for TD using the DISCUS, complete DISCUS training along with examples of each abnormal movement.  Also included are printouts of the DISCUS and STEP by STEP instructions.  Video packet donated to CIDDNN by Omnicare.

'The Real RAIN MAN' by Fran Peek -Book

The Real RAIN MAN is an inspiring account of Kim Peek, made famous by Oscar winner Dustin Hoffman.  Kim Peek, the one-of-a-kind megasavant who inspired the Academy Award-winning motion picture, is even more fascinating and gifted than his on-screen counterpart.  In the years since the film's release, Kim has emerged from a world of comparative isolation to become a warm, outgoing, humorous and brilliant emissary for those with special needs.  He travels the country to share his message to "recognize and respect differences in others."

The CIDDNN library is a reflection of our committment to support and help one another bring quality care to those individuals we serve.  DD Nurses are invited to share resources, books, videos, and DVDs.  Perhaps one of your favorites may be of interest to another member or the additional training items you are currently using may benefit another nurse. 

If you have an item that you wish to donate to the CIDDNN library, please submit your donation information to us at nurses@ciddna.com.  Your donations are greatly appreciated!

*Members may submit their requests for items within the library by email at nurses@ciddna.com.  Items are shared with members free of charge and shipping fees will apply to borrowing members.
