CIDDNN Meeting minutes May 26, 2009

Meeting attendees:  Deb, Leilani, Colleen, Gina, Ginny, Karen, Melinda, Jeannie, Nancy, & Gina. 

We met on day two of the conference at Stoney Creek Inn, East Peoria, IL

Old business was discussed and accepted. 

Secretary's report contained herein.  Treasurers report will be updated after all conference income and expense have been completed.   

Please encourage other nurses to join. 

Meeting sites for 2010 were determined with our first meeting in February to be held at Abilities Plus in Kewanee.  It was determined that meeting in the afternoon is a hinderance to memebership attendance.  We will try meeting at 6 PM in 2010 to see if we improve attendance.  We will most likely order pizza at the first meeting then determine what will be offered at future meetings.  We also committed to offering at least 1 CEU per meeting.  DDNA is wonderful to approve CEUs in a speedy manner and we would like to increase memebership value. 

Topics for February meeting were determined as follows:

We will resume discussion at the meeting held at the conference about becoming a chapter and determining if the benefits of National support would be something we want to pursue.  Kathy Brown, President-Elect of National DDNA will present. 

We will have a nomination of officers at the February meeting. 

National CDDN conference for 2010 will be in Reno Nevada!  Please plan to attend.  The dates are May 15th through 18th 2010.
