CIDDNN Meeting minutes August 14th, 2008

Meeting attendees:  Deb, Karen, Chris, Lori, Amy, Mercy, Ginny, Gina.

Old business was discussed and accepted. 

Secretary's report contained herein.  Treasurers report accepted. 

No new information regarding SIDDNN joining CIDDNN.  Requests and follow up have resulted in no new information.  Please continue to encourage DD Nurses to join their area networks.

Upcoming meetings:  Informal meeting October at IL CDDN Conference at Starved Rock.                                                                                                                     

• NIDDNN looking for vendors and updated mailing list and evals from last year.
• Conference Dates October 23 & 24

CEU Opportunity:  Dementia in ID/DD Community Settings.  October 22nd & 23rd, cost is $30.00.  Alzheimer's Association 606 W Glen, Peoria, IL, Phone 309-681-1100.  Registration is at 8:30 and class ends at 3:00.  The program is presented on the 22nd and repeated on the 23rd to accomodate attendance. 

DHS RN Trainer manual updated version 04-06.  Many have older versions.  To receive new version request of Sandra Bancroft 217-557-6263 or e-mail sandra.bancroft@illinois.gov in Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Chris to check status of updating our network to a chapter of DDNA.  Discussion ongoing. 

Chris Near and Amy Ortery joined in the National DDNA conference in Foxwoods, CT.   Both Chris and Amy reported they enjoyed the experience and encouraged others to attend next years conference in Orlando Florida.  The dates are May 9th through 12th 2009.
